GIUSEPPE PALANTI
We wish to think of the painter Giuseppe Palanti as one of the promoters of Milano Marittima - the garden city that we all know. Palanti took up the ideas of the English humanist Ebenezer Howard who sustained the theory of ”….. The creation of new suburban small towns surrounded by permanent agriculture territories…”. In the beginning of the 20th Century these ideas might have seemed to be very daring but anyhow, he succeded in building houses that were at that time unique of their kind, right in the center of the beauties of nature. We may say that the results came up to Palanti’s expectations.
